KLARMOND TRAKEHNERS
Klarmond Trakehners is located just off of Highway 56 between I-70 and I-35 on 94 acres in rural Baldwin City, Kansas. With an adjoining 840 acres of State Property open for trail riding, it enjoys a private location surrounded by woods at the end of a dead-end road. Tree-lined hilly pastures provide an excellent environment for young horses to grow. We offer pasture boarding for $200 per month, and full stall care with turnout for $400 per month. We enjoy foaling visiting mares as well as our own, and the foaling area is equipped with an intercom 24 hour monitoring. Nan Funkhouser holds an Animal Health Technician Degree from Maple Woods Community College. An indoor arena measures 72' x 144', and the outdoor arena is 66'x 196'. A 60' round pen completes the training facilities. As an avid observer of the renowned horse psychologist and trainer Harry Whitney (www.Harry Whitney.com) Nan Funkhouser will work with you and your horse to address problems and create a comfort level that will feel great to you both. Beginning dressage lessons are also available for all ages. You may choose to learn with your own horse or with one of our Trakehners. Day long clinics are also available for groups from 2 to 6 horse/rider combinations. Fees are $60 per session, and can last from 1 to 2 hours.
